"Mother of God, become a feminist!" Pussy Riot demanded in February in Moscow.
Their protest at the Cathedral was against the patriarchal violence of the misanthropic and
corrupt state system.
...For their art project Nadezhda, Maria and Ekaterina were sentenced to two years imprisonment.
The case of pussy riot should be viewed in light of the following contexts:
- Our criticism is directed against any kind of political system that produces the prisoner to sustain itself. Repression is ubiquitous and a global response to the challenge of this oppressive system is needed.
We see the solidarity with Pussy Riot as a cry for the liberation of captive minds around the world.
- Putins corrupted system is only possible because it is sponsored by the Western "realpolitik."
It is a world in which there is a system that: through financial speculation and inflated oil prices that Putin needs exactly like the financial markets themselves. One can throw bad criticism at Putin when the system of money laundering, financial speculation and exploitation on which they are based are accepted practice.
- The case of Pussy Riot highlights the current struggle against the power of the Church and for the separation of Church and state. In Bavaria, the Christian churches enjoy privileges which secures their
dominance (schools, universities, taxation).
"The Bavaria" statue was built in 1850 as a female symbol and secular saint of Bavaria. It provides a personalized allegory for the state structure Bavaria represents. "The Bavaria" must therefore be viewed as a national symbol of abuse of the female body.
We call on people passing through Bavaria not to associate with the sexist Oktoberfest boozing, but rather for the first time, we propose spending time on other activities, to view it as a radical feminist would.
